Giulio Pierucci was an
artist from Prato, born in
1899 and for this
exhibition eleven of his
sculptures were presented to
the public.
The show design was centered
on the use of a base (3.5 x
8 meters) made of rough fir
planks resting directly on
the floor. The eleven
sculptures were
placed on parallelepiped
structures made of the same
fir wood.
The wood was printed with
block letters which
identified all the titles
and dates in either black or
red ink according to the
various periods of the
artist's career.
The nearby spaces were left
completely empty to
accentuate the theatrical
and essential nature of the
art works.
At the entrance there was a
life-size photographic
reproduction of the humble
door to the artist's
Florentine studio.
