The trade show of
Prato's local textile
production
(autumn-winter season)
was held inside a school
(Istituto Tecnico
Industriale Tullio Buzzi)
which, for two weeks,
hosted expo stands and,
for several days
completely changed its
appearance via the
creation of offices,
desks, bars, phone
centers, terminals, and
conference rooms.
It was a sudden
transformation of the
scholastic building into
a main exposition
center. This became an
example of how
elasticity, transforming
dynamism and adapatation
could be realized
through the fortunate
exchange of functions
and experiences in a
building designed for
other purposes.
In the indoor courtyard,
during the trade show, a
display was created
using colorful fabrics
woven in Prato to create
special slides as a
“play space” for several
mannequins.
