The goal of this project is
to use simple,
easily-recognized,
homogeneous and repeatible
construction typologies to
make a compact settlement,
with no dispersal around the
territory.
To better represent the
house archetype, we
conceived of an elementary
cell, a classic house with a
double sloping roof, very
similar to the kind drawn by
children.
These elementary cells have
been brought together in
such a way as to create
visual tunnels from the
outside which allow a view
of the valley below.
The buildings' planimetric
placement, in an eliptical
form, follows the
topographical curves of the
hillside and emphasizes the
view of the woods and the
valley on the convex side.
Simultaneously it confers
more intimacy and meditation
on the inner concave
side.
The form of the settlement,
its limited heights, even
the chosen typology all the
structure's insertion into
the environment, trying to
realize a symbiosis with the
external context |
